Why do we have to restart pboard multiple times a day?

The copy/paste feature on multiple mac-computers in the office have the same issue where it will stop working throughout the day.

Restarting pboard helps, but doesn't seem like a viable option since copy/paste should just work and not require this knowledge.

The issue probably is that we're copy and pasting images between different documents...

Is there any solution which will fix pboard and copy/paste on mac?

Hi WestN,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. I understand you are having issues with copy and paste. I'd be happy to help.

Before we continue further do you have a backup? If not that's alright. It's always recommended to have a backup before troubleshooting potential issues. If you'd like to make a backup here is a great resource: Back up your Mac with Time Machine

After you have completed a back up there are a few things that I'd recommend. First would be to ensure that your Mac is up to date. Here is how you can check for updates: How to update the software on your Mac

If your Mac is up to date and issues are persisting the next troubleshooting step I'd recommend is a NVRAM reset. Here is how you can perform an NVRAM reset: Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac

If issues are still persisting you may want to make a test account to further isolate your issue. Here is a guide on creating a test user to isolate an issue: How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac

Enjoy your day.
