Replacement Iphone doesn't work

HI

The replacement Iphone SE won't connect to the wifi and yes I have done"forget network and re-entered the wifi password". It does a tick for the wifi but not accessing it. The phone is running really hot. It can't finish the re-set from the Icloud

And I've got verification code messages a couple of hours after I picked up the replacement phone.

it's on a loop asking me to go into settings and re-set my password.

I feel as if Apple has dudded me. And I can't access Apple Support. What is going on there?

Hello carobadapple,

Thanks for posting on Apple Support Communities. I see that you recently had your iPhone replaced and are trying to restore the device from a backup. The phone appears to be running hot, keeps asking for your iCloud password, and can't connect to wi-fi.

When you try to connect to a network do you get a specific error? Is the wi-fi option grayed out? You may also want to try the troubleshooting steps in this article. If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won’t connect to a Wi-Fi network.

The phone may appear to be running hot because it's constantly trying to connect to a network as well as restore from an iCloud backup at the same time. You mentioned that the phone keeps asking for your Apple ID password to be reset. Have you verified that the Apple ID password is correct by logging in on appleid.apple.com yet? If in fact the password is incorrect, reset it so that the iCloud restore can complete.

If you are still having issues, I suggest Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings, try the restore once again, and Contact Apple Support.

Have a great day!
