I have spent a week getting into more and more of a mess with my phone. I can no longer access my photo library or camera from my iPhone in order to post photos on my Instagram! Plus I can’t get at my photos to delete the ones I don’t want! And I know there are 625 there which I have deleted but have not left the system! Why!!!!!!!

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities. I understand Instagram is no longer able to access your Photos library, and that you are unable to delete photos from your Photos library.
If you are using the Instagram app, you'll want to follow each of the steps linked below.
Regarding the photos you have attempted to delete, you may need to check your Recently Deleted folder to completely delete them.

Thank you very much. I had done this but they were all still there and I couldn't find my way back.
I have now ( I hope ) sorted it out by going back to factory settings. Which I was alarmed by and is leading to lots of other work setting it up! Plus some of my deleted photos seem to have come back into my library! How can I get the time that deleted photos are saved down from 50 days!!!
