Don’t have WiFi enabled on MacBook and no option in Network Settings for WiFi

Hi,

I wiped my MacBook and re-installed Mac OS (High Sierra 10.13.6). During the process I was asked how I connected to the internet and the WiFi option was greyed out. The two available options were Ethernet (which I don’t use) or My Computer Dies Not Connect (can be set up later). I chose this option.

Now I can’t get WiFi enabled. When I go into Network Settings and choose the ‘+’ sign, I only get Thunderbolt Bridge or Bluetooth PAN options above the grey line and VPN, PPPoE, or 6to4. NO WIFI OPTION - very frustrating !!!!!

Please help?

cheers,

m
