Verification failed The application you have selected does not exist error message when signing in for initial set up to pull my iCloud back up

I have been using iPhone for a very long time and I have never seen a problem like this it’s very strange. During the initial set up of the phone when I get you restoring from my iCloud back up and asked me to login to the App Store and put in the correct password and it comes up saying “verification failed the application you have selected does not exist” I am completely lost as to what to do here. This is extremely frustrating so any help would be very appreciated.

Some people are starting to report that the can sign in now/ Try restarting your phone, then try to sign in again.

The issue is showing as resolved on the Status page.

First time I’ve ever seen anything like it; I hope they get it fixed soon because I have to be able to pull my iCloud back up until that happens I’m without a phone thank you for the information though

Apple is aware of the issue. It is now showing as a problem on the Status page.

And to be honest this is actually a complement for iCloud they so rarely have an issue I forget to check that page because anytime I have checked it all systems have been green LOL
