Update Apple ID application doesn’t exist

I have a notification for update Apple ID setting, however when I input my password I get a screen telling me application does not exist. I’ve changed my password and still get the error.

Applle ID password needs to be updated I continue to get a message that my Apple ID password needs to be updated. I do that and it accepts the change and confirms it with an email. I go back to try to sign in and I get a message that an unknown error has occurred. It keeps me going in circles. I need to get in because there is an important app that needs to be updated.

There was a server problem that now appears to be fixed.
