“Send to Email Address” issue

Hi, just wanted to know if anyone encounters the Send To Email Address issue? I cant seem to go around it. The person i message said she changed the Send & Receive to her number already but iMessages still send to her email and when i try to do the “Send as Text Message” instead it goes “Send to Email”. Tried finding solutions online but its always from “Send As Email” and not “To” email.

I understand you'd like Send as a Text Message, however only Send to Email Address is available.


This is because iMessage uses both phone number and email, and will give the option that is most likely to successfully send the message at the time.

Additionally, the message thread may have been initiated to/by the recipients email address and therefore it will be the preferred method of delivery.


Additionally, on your iPhone, go to: Settings > Messages > Send & Receive, and ensure 'Start new conversations from' is set to your phone number.


You can try creating a new message thread to the phone number and testing.

Otherwise, disable network connectivity on your device to prioritize text messaging from your device.
