Setting up gmail OS X El Capitan 10.11.6

Hi, ive been trying for 3 hours to set up my gmail on my mac mail. I have totally reached a dead end googling for answers and was wondering if someone can help. I can see my gmail on the mail app but i cant send anything. I keep getting a message that says 'cannot send message'. Herer are some screen grabs -

Ive now tried connecting mac mail app with two different outlook accounts and im having the exact same problems. Nightmare! Any helpw would be greatly appreciated.
