How do I import video to iMovie?

Some videos I took with my iPhone 11 Pro have been airdropped to my MacBook. I want to use these to make an iMovie, but in-spite of them being in photo's I cant find them from libraries in iMovie. I've tried dragging and dropping into iMovie from photos and that doesn't work.

Any idea's?

You should be seeing the videos from your Photos Library in iMOvie, if you reveal the sidebar in iMovie and select the Photos Library. Set it to show "All"or "Videos".

iMovie will be showing you the Photos Library, that has been enabled as the System Photo Library. Other Photos Libraries are not available.

To check, if your library is the System Photo Library, launch Photos, open the Photos > Preferences > General.

The option "Use as System Photo Library" should be dimmed. If it is still active, click it, to make your current library your System Photo Library.
