I have my text messages set to keep forever but i have found that I only have text messages from a year ago. It appears any texts I have (had) that are from over a year ago are being automatically deleted. Storage availability is not an issue Is anyone else having the same problem?

If messages in iCloud is turned off and you have previously made backups to iCloud, depending on when the messages were deleted they may be able to be restored by restoring an iCloud backup.

Hi. Thank you for your reply. I’ve had my phone for 2 years +.
I checked my iCloud settings and Messages was turned off. I’m not sure why that would affect what is showing on my iPhone. Prior to me noticing that I didn’t have any messages older than a year, I had plenty that were more than a year old.
