I have my messages set to keep forever but I accidentally deleted a very important text stream… I don’t think they are backed up, but when I search them I can see the old ones I just can’t click on them, can anyone help me recover these messages?

You cannot text threads that have been deleted, unless they were included in a backup made before the deletion AND you don’t sync messages to iCloud. If you do sync them to iCloud (Settings/[your name]/iCloud/Messages= ON) they cannot be recovered.
