Apple Watch Workout App Steps Count

I have just bought a series 5 and loving it, however it seems the Workout app doesn’t show steps count. In the Activity app I can see total number of steps but I want to know how many I did during my workout (walk/run). Is this possible?

This is not possible,you can only find total number of steps as you have found,there may be a 3rd party app in the app store that does this.
