iCloud not saving all photos

Today I purchased the extra 50gb of iCloud storage but when I sign in to view the photos saved iCloud still doesn’t show all my photos despite saying there is plenty of space left. I am unsure why it isn’t saving all the photos from my library?

Try leaving the device plugged in and connected to WiFi. If the library is large, it will take a while to upload/sync.
