Why can't I buy the infinity fabric link? It appears the only way anyone can own an infinity fabric link is to purchase Two Radeon Pro Vega II Duo at the same time. If I want to buy these video cards one at a time I must pay an additional $400 per card and never be allowed to link them together.

The Infinity Link is used to connect two and only two Pro Vega II GPUs. If you have a Vega II Duo MPX Module the two GPUs on the card are hardwired together with an infinity fabric link with no user wiring required or available. The Infinity Fabric Link cable is only used to archive the same capability using two Radon Pro Vega II cards. (Non-Duo).

If you later purchase a standalone Radeon Pro Vega II MPX module Apple will include a Infinity Fabric Link connector with your purchase.

I happen to know based on the MP sitting below my desk. Each card comes with an infinity fabric link integrated - regardless if pre-configured or purchased later on. This allows you engage the link in between the 2 GPUs on each card. There is not way to link 4 GPUs this way thus this infinity fabric link across two cards comes only with the non-Duo version (and included in the box as well).
It comes with the card if you order an additional one. Look under “what’s in the box”
It only comes with the infinity fabric link if I buy two at the same time. that's the problem. If I can only afford one now, save up for a second, then purchase the second for instance a month later, I won't be able to get the infinity fabric link. It's not sold separately. did you not read what I wrote? You simply confirmed exactly what I said with a condescending add.

The infinity fabric link is used for connecting two Radeon Pro Vega II Duo video cards. It is not internal. You can see it on Apple.com. There are pictures. Please don't reply about something you don't know about. Allow someone with knowledge and experience to reply.

Nevertheless: the infinity link adaptor comes with each card being integrated on board for the Duo version.
