Excel Macro on MacBook

I was using MS Excel on Windows Laptop. There was a macro within the spreadsheet. I used to click: Ctrl-Alt-F9 to use the macro to update the spreadsheet.

On my new MacBook Air I am using MS excel but the macro is not working.

Is there an alternative to Ctrl-Alt-F9 to make the spreadsheet functional again?

delete key and arrows not working Hi, in excel on my mac, the delete key and arrows don't seem to work. I go to edit a cell, the curser is at the end of the text, when I click in the middle to edit a minus sign to a times symbol for example, and either delete or use the arrow keys, it just takes the curser to the start of the text in the cell. How to Make Excel the Default Spreadsheet App in Mac In this thread: Set Excel as default instead of Numbers - Apple Community instructions were given to make excel the default spreadsheet on a Mac, even when opening a Numbers document. I'm finding that this doesn't work now. After going through all the steps, when opening a numbers doc, it opens in numbers, which I prefer not to use. Right clicking on the doc and opening with excel doesn't work either. It's not an option and it's greyed out in the apps I can use for this purpose. Does anyone have a fix? Thanks.

Are you attempting to use the -

Calculate/Update all open Workbooks - Fn+F9

Calculate/Update an active sheet - Shift+Fn+F9

The above key nominations are not user created macros but are keyboard shortcuts built into Excel. In other words, they do not execute user created Macros.
