Apple Care is a rip off

additional $99 for "Express Repair" which provides me with a loaner phone while I send my phone in for repair.

Express "Replacement" is free. Your old phone is not being repaired, it's replaced with the new one you're getting.

You are paying for the new phone which must have had accidental damage to be charged.

Since you are being charged for the replacement phone, they must feel there was accidental damage.

There has been nothing to lead to that conclusion. Phone is not "accidentally damaged"; it just stopped working properly.

So, once again, I did not make this conclusion, it seems Apple did.

Since they are charging you the replacement cost for a device with accidental damage, THEY must feel this, NOT ME.

The service will never have a fee, which is what you thought you were being charged.
