Hi all,
I have some movies in my iTunes on PC Desktop, but they do not show in the TV app on my iPhone. I can see the ones I purchased via ITunes, but none of my other films (ripped into MP4 from DVD).
I have looked at preferences in iTunes, home sharing is on, but can’t see anything else that would stop them showing up on my iPhone?
Any ideas?

Are you using TV app > Library > Shared Library to try to access the iTunes library on the computer?

Amazing, just had to turn on sharing via local network in preferences on my desktop iTunes.

I didn’t realise it had anything to do with the local network as my music updates on all devices without the computer. Silly me! 🙄
Hi, the files are all in iTunes on the computer. I don’t have the TV app on the PC. They are all in the same folder in Users > Media files

So I can see the films now, but no option to download them, unlike purchased ones. Anyway to download them onto my iPhone? I wanted to watch them somewhere I won’t have wifi! 🙄

Are you using TV app {on your iPhone} > Library > Shared Library to try to access the iTunes library on the computer?
Note iTunes must be running on your computer and both computer and device must be on the same local network for shared content to appear.

You can sync selected items to your device using iTunes. Home Sharing is for streaming content from one computer to another, and may also support computer to computer copying, but not computer to device.
