Youtube quality capped at 1080p on my iphone 11 pro

When are apple going to fix or change the maximum quality of youtube videos to the actual maximum resolution these displays can go upto , that is 1440p instead of locking it to 1080p. All the other android phones do this, why is apple lagging behind. Are there any workarounds for this issue? If so, please let me know.
