Install Error for Tableau Desktop

Im trying to solve an issue when attempting to install Tableau Desktop. I have contacted the software makers and unfortunately cannot solve it even after following their troubleshooting steps. These were:

Downloading installer package again
Uninstall older versions of Tableau Desktop
Rename "My Tableau Repository" folder in the Documents folder

I was hoping someone from the Apple community be able to help me here as I paid $1,200 for nothing. I have provided the installer log if it helps.

It appears their installer is broken. It is trying to write to a directory that doesn't exist because they failed to create it.

Tell them their "fix" didn't work. Have them send you a functional installer or refund your purchase.

Did their free demo installer work?

Is that the current version? This page says this is a known problem with an old version.

You might be able to extract it with Pacifist and install it manually.

The demo did in fact install and work fine but that was 2 years ago. Actually I still have that version in Time Machine. Do you think I can restore that and perhaps update it within the app itself?
