Why are there no files in the supposed iTunes backup folder when I navigate to it?

In the Help article for how to delete and manage iTunes backups, it tells me to navigate to C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\

I've navigated there, but there are no files in this folder. I know I have backups.

But this is what I have in File Explorer:

Am I missing something? Are these files hidden now? Is the Apple support page no up-to-date and the files are actually stores somewhere else now?

See Locate backups of your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support. The path depends on whether you install iTunes from the Microsoft Store or using a downloaded setup.exe installer.

Sorry for not linking it earlier. That is the article I was referring to. Forgive if I'm missing it, but the only other place to look referenced in the article would be the %USERPROFILE%\Apple. This folder is also bare.

Are hidden files shown? Could you have any third party clean up tools that might have tried to save space for you? Are you able to make a new backup of any of your devices now?
