Keyboard Cover Damage

Have any of you experienced real damage to your screen by using one of the silicone keyboard covers?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

if anything placed between the keyboard and display did not cause damage Apple would not have this warning:

Do not use palm rest or keycap covers on a Mac notebook with a Retina display - Apple Support

Do not use cases, covers, or "skins" on a Mac.

Excerpted from Keep your Mac notebook within acceptable operating temperatures:

Don’t put anything over the keyboard.

There have been lots of posts about hinge damage, screen damage, keyboard damage but I can't say whether keyboard covers were the cause.

I was just wondering if any consumers have noticed problems on their end. A lot of big companies have to issue warnings because they do not know the exact result of using every kind of a certain product. Some may be better than others. I'm just asking if there have been any stories of damage.
