How can I discharge static electricity from my iphone 8? Or is it my wired earbuds?

How can I discharge static electricity from my iphone 8? Or is it my wired earbuds? Calls frequently cut off. The phone has a mind of its own, playing audio or activating SIRI randomly. Audio even plays when I'm on the phone! The touch screen gets crazy. Help. The phone is almost unusable.

The problem sometimes starts when I slide the phone into my back pocket. But, I'm wearing cotton jeans. What do I do? Thanks!

iPhone 8, iOS 13

Hello, SavanKra,

1) using wired earbuds so I don't think it is a bluetooth or wireless issue.

2) see above.

3) I looked at the link. Powered phone off, removed sim card, put it back in, rebooted. Same problems.

4) and 5) At the moment, it is CNN in Spanish via TuneIn that repeatedly starts playing on its own. Sometimes it is music I downloaded or music that came with the phone (U2).

6) No. SIRI comes on when there is no sound in the room. Repeatedly.

7) see #s 4 and 5.

8) Hmm. I just changed out the little iphone headphone cord adapter for the lightening plug. We shall see if that helps.

9) This might help. I turned 3D off. Clearly sometimes when phone is in pocket, it gets pressed. But, this static thing happens often when the phone is in my hand or on the table.

Thanks.
