I have a iPhone XS Max Software Version 13.4.1 & have a Bluetooth device in my car for streaming music via Bluetooth but when I get a call it switches from the Bluetooth device to the phone, why does it not stay connected to the Bluetooth device?

HFP and HID doesn’t necessarily guarantee it can reroute phone calls. Have you tried clearing out all previous pairings from your device and your iPhone and pairing again? Have you checked your device makers site?
Your device may not support phone calls.
It has: Wireless Bluetooth 4.0 connection
(A2DP, AVRCP, HFP, HID)
I would suggest something you could change in Settings but I do not know of anything.
