I purchased a new ipad mini which will be a family device. I would like to remove email, text, phone numbers etc but only on the ipad, not on my other devices. Basically it will be used for music, movies and books. I do need access to itunes. Can this be done? How? Thank you!!

Why not create another iCloud account and set it up under that. You could add it to your Family Sharing to share your purchased items.
