downloading apps

my app store won’t allow me to download apps because it says i need to update my payment information. it’s updated and says it’s declined when i dont want to purchase anything. i also have money in my account so i don’t see how it could be a problem. especially since i’m not purchasing anything just want to be able to download apps. help?

A Couple of Thoughts:

  • Why it may not be Going Through:

I’d say contact the financial institution of this method of payment. Perhaps this purchase is seen as high suspicion if you’re are using it on a site, especially on a domain that you have never used it on before (Apple.com), if so.


  • Contact iTunes Store Staff:

For other Financial Assistance, contact Apple Support. These are user-to-user forums. We are not Apple.  Apple barely reads these site on their own time, as it is. Here is the information for contacting Apple Support:
