My iPhone 8 is stuck on a white screen with a black Apple logo. It has been that way for almost 24 hours. I tried connecting to my iMac but it does not recognize it. Any suggestions?

Force restart iPhone - Apple Support ⬅︎ TRY THIS, and if it does not work try Recovery Mode because if you can't get it to start properly then you have to have it serviced by Apple which you might not want to do and might not be an option right now...

Connect your device to a computer. On a Mac with macOS Catalina 10.15, open Finder. On a Mac with macOS Mojave 10.14 or earlier, or on a PC, open iTunes.
Press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Then, press and hold the Side button until you see the recovery mode screen.
It sometimes takes a few tries to get Recovery Mode...Once you get into Recovery Mode then your phone will be recognized...

The best thing to do right now is contact support, you can click "Contact Support" top right corner of this page and follow the leads until you reach the Phone or Chat options.
They are very busy right now so you may have to try a few times, also some options are not always immediately available, but will become available as demand decreases.

I am sorry to hear that, why can't you sign in on your computer, Get a verification code and sign in with two-factor authentication - Apple Support or another way...
Something might have changed that I am not aware of...
Thanks. Tried several times. It finally went into Recovery Mode for about 10 mins. Never updated and then went back to white screen. Tried about ten more times to get Recovery Mode but no luck. Think it is done.
Thanks. I tried to chat but cannot even do that because I have to sign in to and I cannot receive their text for the two factor identification. Apparently they do not under stand that the phone does not work.
It is my daughter’s phone and she only has the 2 factor with her phone. I called support and I am sending it in. Thanks for the help.
