Where on the App store app is the option to update in order to install a printer?

Connect it to your electricity supply, connect it to your mac.

Switch both your mac and printer on.

Open System Preferences> Printers & Scanners

click on the + button and add your printer.

Check the printer manufacturers support pages for any further drivers or software.
