my old iPod shuffle 3rd generation doesn't appear to be charging, any advice?

ipod shuffle 1st gen not working properly I have had my ipod shuffle 1st gen for alot of years now and have never had a problem recently my hasnt detected it while plugged in whether direct or through a dock it, i have an accessory that came with it that takes batteries to extend the battery life so longer music to listen too that works fine with it, it has power and im able to use it but it wont charge or be detected by my pc or laptop, im not sure what the issue is anyone can help me out?

iPod shuffle will not chrage The iPod shuffle I purchased last year will not charge. I place it in the dock, the status light flashes orange three times then turns off. I believe it is supposed to stay illuminated when charging Apparently it is a second generation Shuffle. I have attached an image of it Can anyone help? It would be much appreciated 😁

Hello,

Unfortunately your iPod’s battery has failed. Due to the age of the device there is nothing you can do to repair it as Apple has obsoleted this iPod model.
