Starz App on Apple TV

Has anyone figured how to get your starz app to work on your apple devices? Mine will not work. Used to work but now will not give me the option to pick my TV provider.

Apple TV HD, tvOS 13

If you use cable or satellite for your TV provider, that is a different account than using your Apple TV which is tied to your AppleID amount. If you subscription if from a cable or satellite provider, no you cannot watch Starz on your Apple TV unless you want to get subscription that is tied to your Apple TV.

You can use the Starz app, which will prompt for authentication for a TV provider. However, if you attempt to watch through the Apple TV app then that won't work as that requires a subscription directly with Apple, initiated through their app.

If you are having an issue with the Starz app then you it will be up to them to fix any issues encountered.

Yes, you could cancel the subscription through your cable company and then get it on your Apple TV. Buying a Roku, you would still need to pay if you kept your cable companies package and wanted to watch Starz on the Roku.

When I try to sign in it tells me I don't have Starz from my TV provider. I tried on my computer and I signed in fine. I emailed STARZ, haven't heard back, I called my cable provider and confirmed that yes STARZ is on my account, trouble shooter my cable boxes, Called Apple Support, troubleshooted my Apple TV device, they claim it is the app. Tried on my iPad and iPhone wouldn't work. I have reset my Apple TV, redownloaded the app, still nothing.

The problem is ... when I try and sign in it says "I do not have STARZ on my cox account. I do .. confined it through COX.

So because I have an Apple TV device... and pay through my cable company for the streaming on my Apple TV device, the STARZ app doesn't work? I have to pay through Apple TV .. the 4.99 a month so that my cable subscription will work? So I should buy a roku?

I am not using it trying to use it though the Apple TV app... we have STARZ through our Cox Cable. It is not prompting me to pick my Cable provider. It says I idon'thave STARZ through my Cable provider ... but I do. For some reason it isn't connecting to my provider's information.
