iOS 13.5.1 battery drain

Hopefully it will be fixed with iOS 13.6. Apple is now aware of the problem as developers talk about it in updates notes.

I honestly think that replace the device is not going to fix the problem as it’s not hardware related. It’s only a software bug.

Did music app do that after you restored to factory and set up as new, but before restoring from backup?

Brightness is set to the maximum level, I’m not surprised by your result. Sorry but your video isn’t really relevant.

It will surely as i am on 13.6 GM version and all is working good from my side.

That last part, the cliff down to the red, is not a drain it is a crash, suspect battery failure.

So some improvement but as I said on page 36 I still think you need a new battery

Yes this update is a real heck on battery. My iPad 6th gen usually charges fast enough from less than 10% to full charge. After this update to reach 30% of charge it took an hour almost. I just hate it. It’s really annoying when we need the device.

As I said already, others (3 that I know of) _who actually have this battery issue_ have already tried this method to no avail. So it apparently has nothing to do with this, but is something else. If I knew it would actually help, I would have tried it by now. But so much effort for nothing, no thanks.

Weird indeed, since 13.5.1 my iPhone 7 has battery drain problem, slow charging issues AND gets very hot for nothing. Was my mistake updating from 13.3 thinking this will improve somewhat my phone. Is not fair Apple stills making us testers of their own bugged updates :(

I have an iPhone 6S and after the upgrade it gets hot & battery drains very quickly. Also I am not able to connect to Wi-Fi through this phone after upgrade. The issue was sporadic yesterday, but now unable to connect from today.

You’ll have to explain to me how there’s any difference between the binary being pushed as an OTA update versus via your Mac tethered. The update is verified before being installed. For the record, I have three different devices on the new release, and one of them was updated directly from my MBP and still having extensive battery drain.
