Updating to iOS 13.5.1

Hi all,

I’ve just updated to iOS 13.5.1 for my iPhone 8 Plus. My credit card is linked to my iCloud subscription.

The very next day, I was notified by the bank that my credit card had been used fraudulently. Could the software upgrade have caused this breach of credit card information?

Of course anything is possible, but I've never experienced or known of a situation where an iOS firmware upgrade could affect your credit account.

Two things:

Contact your bank directly by phone or their website to verify that there is a real issue with your account. If there is, of course, go through their steps to cancel your card and have a new one issued to you.
Go to Manage your Apple ID, and immediately, change your Apple ID password.

Yea true that. Just perplexed how this happened as I didn’t use my credit card for bay online transaction prior to upgrading the software.
