Sound card fried.

I was playing guitar that was hooked up to an amp, that was also hooked up to my computer via auxiliary cord. The amp shorted and the computers sound turned off. I can hear sound when I hook up to bluetooth but no longer does the computer have its own internal sound system. I think the short in the amp burned the sound card, perhaps. Fixable? Do I need to take it in for repair? Thanks!
