Yes, it will. It will even switch seamlessly to cellular if you are on Wi-Fi calling and move out of Wi-Fi range.

I was told by AT&T support that when I am connected to WiFi on my device that I will continue to use cellular data unless I turn off my cellular data. I am baffled by this. WiFi Calling Is there a way in settings on iPhone to turn off cellular so that WiFi calling is always used? We live in an area that has 1 bar of service though ATT and because of this I have to go to the basement to make calls to eliminate any cellular signal. Otherwise the iPhone tries over the 1 bar and fails. We used to have a MicroCell device which worked flawlessly but I was told ATT no longer supports these. Thank you

Do you need to turn off cellular for the phone to WiFi call? The wife is working from home now and our cellular service is not very good. 1 bar on a good day if the wind is blowing forget it. But was wondering using our att fiber internet Wi-Fi be better?
