Loosing storage at an alarming rate

My new MacBook Pro is loosing storage rapidly. At first it stopped if I turned of wifi. Now it occurs no matter what I do. At one point I had 15MB remaining of 83G. I restarted my computer and it restored the storage and stopped for a short period of time and then resumed. I found a trojan virus cryxos and removed them but that didn't help. My Mac is uptodate.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

How are you troubleshooting this? I have the same problem JS:Trojan.Cryxos.3699 and I can never browse relax again without having pop ups.

Bought Antivirus Bitdefender and I still have the problem

yes thank you, still occurring but I had 2 trojans, cleared them but problem still occurring.... what to do??? wipe hard drive, start again???
