All of a sudden all Incoming mail on my MacMail has a Caution message inside a double red lined text box that says: "CAUTION: This email was sent from an external source. Use caution when replying, opening links or attachments." Every email I get has that at the top of the email and I don't like it and want it to stop! Or find a way to stop it! I don't know how it started and it is most disturbing. Can anyone help me get rid of it?

Mail is the Apple application that is being used to read your mail, your have a Microsoft Exchange account with the school that you are either working for or attending. The message you are seeing has been added by the Exchange administrator for you mail account and has nothing to do with your computers. As I mentioned above the friend I email and the District Attorney's office uses a Microsoft Exchange mail account and gets the exact same message. If you want to to go away you will need to contact the Exchange Administrator in the IT department and ask them to turn it off. I will bet you $20 they will not do so and you will have to learn to live with it.

Is this a Microsoft Exchange email account? what is after the @ in your email address?
That sounds like an add on from an external server. I get those when I exchange emails with someone who works at the District Attorney’s office.
Email comes on both an Apple MacMail and on an OWA internet browser service, i.e., Safari or Google Chrome, and probably Firefox, etc., and is an Outlook that is provided by Mirosoft and has a dot edu (.edu) address ending. That Caution message appears on all incoming mail on both the Apple Mail and the browser OWA service. Duh!!!

Thank you for taking the time to make a response. However, I would like them to be stopped as the message comes on every message I get!!! Even from my children!!! It is most troubling.
