Dear Sirs,
I can't upload videos to iBook Author. Once uploaded they disappear and only the placeholder of the video remains.
I tried to redo the file, I tried to change the computer but the problem remains. Can you help me?
I have to publish a job and I need a solution in a short time.

Do QuickTime open and play this m4v files? You can try to convert FCPX files to .mov using any free soft like this:

Thank you AirGraph for answering me soon, the article does not solve the problem that only exists using Catalina. I imported only files generated by FCPX in m4v into iBook Author. Author imports them, converts them, after a while they disappear leaving only the widget placeholder. I found, on this chat, other people with the same problem and what worries me, reading the following article,

I produce eBooks and i am ready to change production software, if i need, but i wait for official news. I just contacted the Apple support by phone and they say: more or less, "we don't know". News are very much appreciated.

same page after 20 minutes
really i don't know. Same example is working on an old computer with Mojave. I have more than 30 books produced last year i am afraid to reopen on Catalina. Really thank you very much for your support. Wile waiting for news, i look for an alternative not because of this problem but because the word "IBook Author" doesn't appear in the last Apple articles.

Can't reproduce your issue:
After 20 minutes nothing changes.

I don't really know how to fix this bug… Sorry… ;-)
Fantastic, you helped me a lot. Your OS is Yosemite, so it works. The feeling i have is Catalina is not working. If i export the page i can play the movie but the poster image disappears.
