I have an app on my phone which has been discontinued. Will it transfer to a new iphone?

I have an app on my current iphone which i use constantly. Will it transfer to a new iphone or disappear? thanks

If the application's still available in the App Store, it can be redownloaded from there. If not, you'd need to have a copy of the ipa file on a computer.
