Spam texts!!

I've been receiving a daily barrage of spam texts lately. I've been blocking the numbers but of course they merely use another number. I've also been reporting them to Verizon's spam text system (7726). I'm using Verizon's call filter but it doesn't divert texts. Do Not Disturb just silences the alert and isn't reliable at letting contacts through.

Aside from turning off my phone or getting a new phone number is there anything I can do?
