How do I get my iPhone out of activation lock I got my Apple ID type in but I forgot my password

If you cannot remember your Apple ID and Password and you are the original owner of the device, you will need to provide Apple with the original receipt clearly showing the serial number and they may help you.

Ask them and find out if they'd do a return - seems to be something that has no workaround, should this be a used device that they were selling.
