Cant sync Google calendar to iPad Pro Calendar App

I’m finishing setting up this 2020 iPad Pro but I can’t get one very important thing to work, syncing my Google calendar to the Apple Calendar.

I’ve tried most everything, adding, deleting the account, restarts, making sure the proper calendar toggles are on and off, using a third party calendar. All to no avail.

The calendars actually fail to show up in the calendar list. All I have within that list is the gmail address but none of the 5-6 calendars under it.

Any help would be appreciated.
