MacPro 2013 compatible with LG 4K monitor using DP to mini DP cable?

Can I use a DP to mini DP cable with with an LG 4K monitor (using the Display Port connection, not HDMI) to a Thunderbolt 2 port of the MacPro 2013? Will the monitor's full 4K resolution of 3480 x 2160 at 60HZ still be achieved with this connection? The specific monitor is the LG 24UD58-B.

Thanks in advance for your assistance!

Yes, if it's the only display on that Thunderbolt bus. There are Three Thunderbolt busses with two ports each.
