Apple TV app asks for authorisation again and again

I have this issue where the Apple TV app keeps asking for authorisation when it had already been authorised. I had done everything I could including a clean format of this computer. I called the Apple support and they never got back to me ever.

So here is the deal, when I buy a new movie and download it to my Mac, I can watch it as long as I search for it, click continue from 'now watching' but if I were to click on the downloaded tab, I will be asked to authorised it again. Once I had authorised it, they would stop for maybe a week before asking me again.

Painful

iMac 27″, macOS 10.15

Thanks for isolating that more. It may be worth trying to deauthorize your computer, or even all devices, and then re-authorizing your current devices.

The funny thing I found out for my issue was that, only download movies have issues. I either can't watch them or it'll ask for authentication. I can stream them at any time.

So basically if I had downloaded a movie, I can't watch it but I can stream it.

Thanks for asking the Apple Support Communities about your device asking for authorization.

This can occur for different reasons. You may want to verify if your Apple ID is protected with two-factor authorization. Enabling this should protect your account, and may reduce the amount of times you are asked for authorization.
