I want to upload a folder I created from powerpoint and saved as a png file which in turn is now a folder. I went to file on iTunes and clicked 'add folder to library' and then found the png folder and when I clicked 'select folder' it disappeared.

Why doesn't my folder upload to the Library?

Windows, Windows 6

  • A png file cannot become a folder. You can place the file into a folder and may find that the folder uses your picture for the folder's thumbnail, but the picture itself is not a folder
  • iTunes' Add Folder to Library is designed to add folders containing music to your Library, not pictures and not simply a folder
  • You cannot add pictures to your iTunes library

What are you trying to do with the picture, add it to your iPod, or something else (such as making it the artwork for an album or song)?
