I'm on a $99 annual Apple Music subscription, but thinking about upgrading to a Family Plan so my wife can get in on the action. Is that possible? What would happen to my $99 subscription (expires May 2021) that I've already paid?
If you cancel your Apple Music subscription, it will continue to be usable until it expires next year. If you cancel your current subscription and then start an Apple Music family subscription, you will have to pay for the family subscription and can start using it yourself next year.
I'm not sure I get it. I've already prepaid $99 for a year of individual service. If I cancel it now, all it means is that I can still use my subscription for a year - it just won't auto renew next year. So if I want to upgrade to a Family Plan right now, I'll have to pay $14.99/month IN ADDITION to the $99 I've already paid?
