Podcast Art Not Updating on Apple Podcast website

The show art is 1500px x 1500px, and less than 400kb. It updates in the Apple Podcasts app (sometimes) but never on the Apple Podcasts website. In fact it still shows the original art from a year ago, and it's been updated a few times since then.

Strange thing is, if I pull up my 'shows' in the mac Apple Podcasts app, the new logo is there. If I open it from there, the new logo is there.

If I search for the podcast in that app, the old art shows up in the 'Shows' result. The episode art in the search results below, is a mix of two different OLD versions.

If I pull up the link in the web browser I get the oldest one: https://podcasts.apple.com/ushttps://rss.acast.com/big-swing-podcast

This podcast was brought over to our podcast network about three weeks ago. The hosting was transferred from Anchor to Acast, and 301 redirect was put in place. New episodes have gone up on Acast and disseminated without a problem, but his art issue will not go away. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm thinking that old episodes with art attached is what's messing things up and we're going to have to back through and swap them all out manually. Definitely could use a little insight here.

My contact at Acast fixed the URL problem in the RSS, but it didn't have an effect. Apple Podcast Support had to fix the problem as it was a storefront issue. This is what they told me:

"I have reviewed the feed and could confirm the new channel image meets our requirements. Normally these things should update in 24 hours, but as this wasn't the case, I pulled an update from the feed on your behalf and can confirm the image has updated in our system."

All is well now and the strange art issue is fixed.

I can't check in either the iOS or the Mac Podcasts App, but iTunes is showing a different image from that in the feed. That image has the correct parameters,. However it has a peculiar URL:

You will notice that it's in effect two URLs glued together. It works fine in a browser, but - and I can only guess here - possibly it's upsetting iTunes. It's better to avoid these odd scripting URLs and give a straightforward URL.

Thanks Roger. I'll bring that up with Acast see what they can do. I know the issue was there before we transferred it over to them, but I assumed it was because the art was sized wrong (that only fixed part of the problem). Yesterday, I went ahead and had my team swap out all of the old art on all 70 something episodes as well, but that didn't help. We'll see what Acast says.

I'll update this thread when I find a solution. Thanks again for your input, Roger!
