Why are my saved files in mailbox empty, I had some important stuff in there? iPad 5

You might first wish to verify that the email remains accessible in your email providers servers. Maybe your email service provider has a problem. Try logging-in to your webmail service from a web browser to verify that the email is still present in your account.


After verifying that the email is still on the server, if you continue to have difficulties retrieving it using your iPad Mail App, it may be necessary to delete the email account from your iPad - then restart the iPad - and finally re-add the email account.


If your email messages are still present on the email server, nothing will be lost. After re-adding the account, the problem will hopefully be resolved.
