What is going on? All of the sudden neither device can be seen in Finder or Music. It worked just a couple days ago. All devices are up to date. Not sure if that latest security patch(?) was after last sync/backup though. Could that be it? Music shows; "The selected device could not be found".

Now it's working again. The only difference is that I restarted iMac with iPad Air 3 connected.
This is absolutely ridiculous. But I'm sure the upcoming iOS/iPadOS 14 and macOS Big Sur will fix everything.

It is suddenly working now after doing nothing. No changes. No updates. No Restart. Connected my iPhone and it shows up in Music and automatically sync's in Finder. Amazing.
Update:
Now it's not working again after connecting iPad Air 3, logging in, automatically syncing, then restarting iMac. Both Music and Finder cannot find either device. This is ridiculous. The last couple years has been nothing but constant, increasingly annoying glitches, behavioral issues with iMac, macOS, iPhone XR & iPad Air 3, iOS/iPadOS.

Still not working. Finder now just shows either "Loading" with spin cycle symbol or "Software: Loading..."
