Stuck on "Not Enough Disk Space" error

I keep getting a "Not Enough Disk Space" error message even though there are no saved projects and I've never even used iMovie before.

I've looked up other solutions like deleting previous projects and clips, restarting the program, restarting my laptop...all to no avail. How do I fix this so that I can upload video files? Is there a file limit for videos to upload to iMac?

iMovie for Mac - Disk Full Error I have a brand new iMac. I'm trying to import media (a video I took on my iPhone) and am receiving the message "There is not enough disk space available at the selected destination. Please choose another one or clear some space." I am perplexed by this as there is nothing in iMovie yet. Please help!

iMac (Mojave) Not enough disc space. I am running Mojave on an iMac. It will not download and will not open attachments. I have over 700 G of available space but it says I do not have enough to open and attachment nor to download.

Redownloading iMovie will cure the insufficient space issue. Sign in to the app store and open your account. You will see iMovie among your purchases. You can redownload from there.
