Apple Watch Touch Screen issues

So my Apple Watch 3 Gen is acting crazy. It acts like I am touching the screen (Phantom touches) when I am not. For instance, I will look at it and it will select the calendar. When it was locked, it would press all the numbers and lock me out by itself. The screen would also "bounce" back and forth when I tried to access the menu. There also seems to be like a residue on the top of the screen.

I am thinking maybe the battery? (It's 2.5 years old) Maybe water damage? (I had it in a kiddie pool with the water setting on). Has this happened to anyone else? Thanks!
