Mounting USB

My Mac Book Air suddenly stopped showing my USB and now I cannot mount it. Request help as a lot of critical data is stored on this USB

Try the USB device on a different Mac, and see if it'll mount here. One of the causes of an external USB device behaving as described is a hardware failure. Testing the USB device on a different Mac will see if the problem is with the disk or with the Mac.
